ABOUT LUXWARDROBE

LuxWardrobe is an online rental business specialising in elegant and stylish dresses for various occasions with a physical shop located in Airport West, VIC, 3042 . We offer a curated selection of high-quality garments, allowing you to elevate your wardrobe without the commitment of purchasing.

It was launched in November 2023.

LuxWardrobe is an online-based store, and we also offer try-on services in Aiport West, Victoria 3042.

Currently, LuxWardrobe does not ship outside of Australia. However, we are always looking to grow and may consider expanding our services to New Zealand or even worldwide in the future.

Renting Our Dresses

When you try to book an item, you’ll be prompted to choose a Delivery Date. By clicking on this option, you’ll access the availability calendar for that specific item, which displays real-time availability. If you’re able to select a date, it means the item is available for that day!

In most cases, your booking will be confirmed. However, since we also process manual orders through other online platforms, there may be occasional delays in updating availability. If the item is not available, you will receive a cancellation notice within 12 hours.

Once a booking is confirmed, we’re unable to offer refunds for cancellations. This is because our items are reserved exclusively for your selected dates, preventing other customers from booking them.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to help within our guidelines. However, please note that changes cannot be guaranteed once your booking is finalised.

Rental Period & Date selection

You can book an item for either 4 days or 8 days. If you require a longer rental period, please reach out to us.

You can order from now up to a year in advance. If the item you want is available in your size for your event, you can schedule a pickup one day before or even on the same day. However, for delivery, we require 2 to 3 business days in advance.

Sizing & Fit

Like any online fashion purchase, it’s challenging to guarantee a perfect fit. Customers often have a good sense of their sizes in the designers they prefer. If you own items from a specific designer, checking the tags can be helpful, as you will likely need the same size.

Here are some additional ways we can assist you in finding the right fit:

Review the "Style Notes" section, which may contain details about the item's shape and fit.

 Click on the "Size Guide" link next to the size selection option. This will display a size guide for that designer, typically including measurements for hips, bust, and waist, along with a conversion chart if their sizing differs from standard Australian sizes. Please keep in mind that this guide applies to the designer's collection as a whole, and individual pieces may have slight variations in sizing.

If you're still uncertain or have specific questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

We do not offer refunds if the item does not fit. We recommend checking the sizing information available on our website or the brand’s website. Additionally, our team members are always happy to assist with sizing questions before your rental. We appreciate your understanding in ensuring the perfect fit!

Yes, we offer try-ons in Airpor West, VIC 3042. You can easily schedule a try-on session by visiting the try-on page accessible from our home page.

If the item you’re interested in is available for your rental date, we’re happy to assist with an exchange for a different size or style. Just reach out to us to confirm availability.

Delivery

Rental dresses are typically shipped a few days prior to the start date of your booking to ensure timely delivery.

All items are currently dispatched from Melbourne, Victoria.

Yes, we offer a pickup option! Simply select “Pickup” at checkout, and you can collect your item directly.

Our delivery fee is typically $25, which includes a prepaid return label. However, for some larger or heavier dresses, the delivery fee may be up to $40 to accommodate extra shipping requirements.

 Returning Items

You need to return the dress on the last day of your rental period. Simply place it in the prepaid return bag provided and drop it off at an Australian post office (not at a PO box). Please note that a $25 late fee will be charged for each day the dress is returned late. If the dress is dropped off at a PO box and delivered late, leading to a lost booking, you will forfeit your bond and may be required to cover fees for your next booking.

The dry cleaning fee is included in your rental, unless the dress is returned in poor condition, in which case it may require multiple rounds of dry cleaning or special treatment, and you might need to pay extra.

Items must be returned at an Australia Post location; there are no alternative options. However, you can also arrange for collection by another courier at your own expense, but it must be an express service.

However, please be aware that if the item is lost before it is scanned by Australia Post, you may be held liable for the loss and charged a replacement fee according to our Rental Agreement.

This is why we always recommend returning the item over the counter.

Please reach out to us, and we will resend the return label, which can be scanned at an Australia Post office.

Damages & Loss

If you accidentally damaged the dress you rented, don’t worry—we understand that accidents can happen. Minor issues like lost buttons or loose stitches can typically be fixed by our rental partners at no additional charge. However, for more significant damage, you may incur a repair or replacement fee as outlined in our Rental Agreement. It’s important to remember that you should not attempt any repairs on your own, as specified in our Rental Agreement. We offer the option to purchase Accidental Damage Protection during your order. If you chose to add this protection and paid for it, the cost of repairs or replacement may be fully covered. That said, depending on the severity of the damage, you might lose your bond to cover the repair costs or may need to pay extra to cover the cost of a new item.

It is your responsibility to care for the item you’ve rented from LuxWardrobe, which includes keeping track of its location at all times from the moment it’s delivered to you until it’s returned. Avoid leaving it in unsecured areas, with friends, or anywhere else that could lead to its loss.


If the item is lost, please notify us right away, even if you believe it might turn up later. We need to inform any subsequent customers who have booked the item after your rental period as soon as possible, so they have time to make alternative arrangements if necessary.


In the event that the item is indeed lost, you will be responsible for covering the replacement cost, which may be as much as 120% of the item’s original retail price, in accordance with our Rental Agreement.
